Wimbledon 0
v Barnet Ladies 2
Team
Ljungdahl, O'Shea, Lovell, Elcome, Barratt, Kirk (Capt.),
Gardiner, Lowe (sub Ward-45), Hughes (sub
Matthias-Knight-72), Earnshaw, Coleman.
This was
Barnet Ladies first win of the season and have also drawn
and lost so far this term.
Although
Wimbledon had more of the possession it was Barnet who
had the more clear cut chances. The bees defence was very
strong, although this may have been down to the fact that
Wimbledon won the ball a lot in midfield.
Both goals
were scored from penalties, each one given for a trip on
Regan Coleman. She converted the first one herself in the
second minute, drilling the ball hard and low to the
keepers left.
In the 70th
minute Jo Gardiner thundered the second penalty against
the bar and in to make it 2-0.
It must be
said that Barnet's Goalie, Ulrika Ljungdahl , was the
star of the game making two outstanding saves.
The 2nd
team started of their campaign with a 4-2 win over
Bristol Rovers at home (Hanwell Town).
