Programme Notes Telford, 07/09/02 Good Afternoon and welcome to the BFCSA page. WHO ARE THE BFCSA COMMITTEE? Ever wondered who the people on the Committee are? (Probably not!), but if you have, all will be revealed in the next programme (hopefully). You may have seen Kevin Mullen taking photos of Barnet fans at the Halifax match. Well that was us. If you've got a strong stomach you'll be able to see what we look like soon! WHY NOT JOIN BFCSA TODAY? Are you a member of the Supporters Association? John Adkins (aka Village) is the membership secretary and can be found in the programme kiosk at the front of the Westcombe Drive turnstiles before all home games. At half time he is normally standing near the Police control room. The prices are as follows: Vice
President £5.00 As well as being a member of the Association you will also be insured for travelling on the BFCSA coach to away fixtures, also as a spectator for any football match played under FA rules. A full set of benefits can be obtained from the Honorary Secretary. DO YOU COLLECT PROGRAMMES? If you do and have a few missing from your Barnet collection then Bill Cresswell is your man. Bill has over 20,000 programmes (his wife would like a few less!) from 1965 onwards including home and away. Also various items from the 40s, 50s and 60s are available plus handbooks and fanzines. I can personally recommend the 70s handbooks, if you were watching the Bees then they'll bring back some good memories. We are also in need of programmes from the last two seasons, so if you have any you don't require anymore we would be most grateful for them. Bill can be contacted through www.bfcsa.co.uk or leave a message at the Supporters Association kiosk in the front garden of the house next to the Westcombe Drive turnstiles. (Click here for the programmes pages.) CLUBHOUSE I can thoroughly recommend the clubhouse for a drink either before or after the match (or both!). Why not come down today and watch the England game on the big screen and sample Greg's hospitality. I guarantee you won't be disappointed. I also heard a rumour 'Mullers' was getting the beers in. (Bet he edits that bit out!!) WEBSITE Did you know the Supporters Association has a website? It is run by John Snow, with some rather duff help from myself. It's well worth a look, (along with the official site of course) and can be found on www.bfcsa.co.uk COACH TRAVEL This has been a resounding success so far this year. So far every coach has broken past the 'magic 30' people needed to break even. It's a great way of getting to an away fixture without the worry of trying to find the ground and somewhere to park etc. If you haven't been on the coach before why not book a place on one for the forthcoming games listed on the coach page. HOW TO BOOK Phone 01707 647365 and leave your details on the Answer Machine. If you are not a member already, you will be able to join on the day. MEETING ARRANGEMENTS The coach leaves outside the Queens Arms (next to the Odeon). During opening hours please meet inside the pub. |
