Programme Notes

Farnborough 17/09/02

Good afternoon and welcome to the BFCSA page.

WELCOME TO MORCAMBE

After the Morecambe match last season I went into the Durham Suite for a 'quick half'. Whilst waiting at the Bar I noticed what we 'southerners' would describe as 'typical northerners'. There were about fifteen blokes in flat caps, long overcoats with various facial hair growths. On closer inspection I realised these were false and after striking up a conversation with a few of them found out they were on a Stag-do for one of their party. If you are here again today I hope you enjoyed yourselves last year and are suitably attired this time!

MONDAY AT STEVENAGE

What a magnificent turnout up at Broadhall Way on Monday night. There must have been about 700 avid Bees fans (possibly more) behind the goal giving it their all. Everyone who went had a fantastic time getting behind the team and gave Wayne Purser a terrific reception when he came on as a second-half substitute. Good to have you back Wayne.

The Lads put in an excellent performance on the pitch with Ben Strevens scoring a marvellous overhead kick to get the second.

Lets get behind the team again today and show them the same level of support we did at 'the Boro'.

MEMBERSHIP

There has been a sudden rise in members over the last few weeks. This is tremendous but we still need more of you to join. The more fans in the association means more money, which in turn lets us provide equipment for the Club.

The standard subscription is only £2.00 (£1.00 concessions) and is available from John Adkins or Robert Whipple at the front of the Westcombe Drive turnstiles before the game.

Full details can be found on on the how to join page.

MEET THE COMMITTEE

After publishing John Adkins profile in the last programme I would now like to introduce to you Alex Jones.

Alex will be the compere at tonight's pop-quiz in the Durham Suite, which is in aid of the KBA funds. So if you can answer questions like 'Who is the Manic Street Preachers guitarist?' then get on down to the Bar and pit your wits in what promises to be an entertaining evening.
