barnet

Barnet FC have reported that the management team that lifted their season from the beginning of March have signed their new contracts. Head coach Peter Shreeves, first team coach Martin Allen and physiotherapist Lee Taylor put pen to paper on Monday to the deals offered them by chairman Tony Kleanthous. Lee Pluck, 20, who deputised for both Greg Heald and Mark Arber after Shreeves took over in March, has signed a two year contract until May 2004.

boston united

Finn Forest have renewed their sponsorship of Boston United for a further year as the Pilgrims enter the Football League. Jim Rodwell has signed a 12-month extension to his contract, Ray Warburton is expected to extend his contract, Brian Hardie and Paul Hart are to sign professional forms. Boston have a friendly fixture at home to ex-premiership Ipswich Town on 15 July and a friendly away to Billericay Town on 24 July.

burton albion

Burton Albion will tour Burton on Trent on an Open-Top Bus on July 7th to celebrate their championship season and look forward to the new Conference campaign. Burton Albion have signed Craig Dudley from Oldham Athletic subject to him regaining his fitness, following an ankle injury. The Brewers have a three year option on the tricky forward player who recently left Boundary Park by mutual agreement.

chester city


Defender Martyn Lancaster has been sacked by the club for what they describe as “serious breaches of club rules” following a number of incidents. Another unnamed player has been given a written warning from the club. Chester have signed Lincoln City striker Dave Cameron, 24-year-old Doncaster Rovers midfielder Kevin McIntyre and Ben Davies from Kidderminster Harriers.

dagenham & redbridge

Dagenham and Redbridge striker Mark Stein has signed a new one-year contract with the club. Stein scored twenty-four goals in the Conference last season as Dagenham narrowly missed out on promotion on goal difference to Boston. Thirty-seven year-old Stein has played at the top level with Chelsea and joined Dagenham and Redbridge from Luton in July last year. Defender Ashley Vickers has also put pen to paper on a new two year contract.

doncaster rovers

Matty Caudwell has signed for Worksop Town and will join newly signed former Rovers favourite Mark Barnard at the club. After discussions with Dave Penney and Mickey Walker, Mark Albrighton as decided to join Rovers from Telford United and will sign on the 1st July in time for the pre-season programme.

farnborough town

Borough’s first summer signing was unveiled last night in the shape of midfielder Danny Carroll, Crawley's player of the year for the past two seasons. Meanwhile the club have confirmed the first departure of the close season - young striker Lee Riddell, who is out of contract, is to leave Cherrywood Road. Wingback Justin Gregory has put pen to paper to sign a new long-term contract with the club. Boro' have until the end of the month to announce their retained list.

forest green rovers

Rob Cousins will not be offered a contract for next season. It is also unlikely that David Lee will be offered a contract. Talks are still going on with Mark Cooper, Alex Meechan and Kevin Langan.

gravesend & northfleet

Newly promoted Gravesend & Northfleet have announced a few player awards in recognition of their competition winning performance, Young Player of the Year is Danny Lye, Francis Duku is Players Player of the Year, Supporters Player of the Year AND Northfleet on the Net Player of the Year - one to watch in the new season?

halifax town

Halifax Town had their application into the Conference accepted last week which will allow the club to enter and play in the Conference League next season. The Shay board have made it clear that they want to install Neil Redfearn into the role of club manager. A deal has been agreed for some time now, but they are still waiting for the administrator to give the deal the green light.

hereford united


Hereford United's Tony James and Paul Parry helped Wales to a 1-1 draw against England in the Unibond Four Nations Tournament at Boston United on Tuesday night. Yeovil Town have signed versatile midfielder/striker Gavin Williams. Williams, who was out of contract at Edgar Street, has put pen to paper in a two-year deal at Huish Park.

kettering town


Kettering Town will take on Wolverhampton Wanderers on Saturday July 13th at Rockingham Road. This will be the first friendly of the 2002/03 season and will prove a great test for Carl Shutt's conference side.


leigh rmi

Defender Dave German has dimissed reports linking him with a move to Altrincham, while veteran Dave Ridings has confirmed he will stay at Leigh RMI. RMI hope to secure the future of the club by striking a deal to sell Hilton Park. The cash-strapped club expect to reach an agreement later this week that will enable them to move to a new stadium and continue for a third season in the Conference.

margate

Margate Football Club have confirmed that defender Gary Blackford and striker Mo Tako have not been offered new contracts and therefore will not be at the club next season. A club spokesman further commented "This confirms information released earlier in the season and we will release further information regarding next years squad as soon as it is available".

morecambe

Boss Jim Harvey has released six players as he looks to rebuild his squad for next season. Andy Fensome and Chris Lightfoot are the most experienced of the sextet to go with fringe players Ian Willcock, Craig Robinson, Alex Porter and Carl Stanford also allowed to leave Christie Park. Harvey thanked the players for their efforts over the last season but said he has his eyes firmly set on building a squad that can challenge for honours next year.

northwich victoria

Northwich Victoria have announced that work has started to allow their groundshare at Witton Albion to progress in time for the start of the new season. Their groundsman Malcolm Hewitt is working in collaboration with Mr Spruce the Witton Albion F C groundsman, to prepare the playing surface for the start of the 2002 /2003 season.

nuneaton borough

Jamie Squires, who was released at the end of the season by Doncaster Rovers has signed for Nuneaton Borough. Nuneaton Boss Steve Burr said "I've just signed Jamie Squires," revealed the Borough boss. I've been after a centre-half and he fits the bill - in fact I can't believe Doncaster have let him go." Mark Quayle has also been brought to beef up Boros frontline after Boro axed three of the current strikers from the squad. Mark was with Conference rivals Telford United last season but was avaliable for transfer under the Bosman Ruling. Nuneaton Borough's dream of a £4.2 million stadium took a leap forward on Tuesday when the town's rugby club agreed to sell them land for the project.

scarborough

Scarborough FC have signed Anthony Ormerod on a monthly deal from Middlesbrough. Ex-Boro striker Neil Campbell has also re-signed for the Seadogs after being released by Yorkshire rivals Doncaster Rovers last week. 23 year old Anthony Ormerod is following in Steve Baker’s footsteps, from his home town club Middlesbrough. Campbell joined Scarborough under Mick Wadsworth five years ago after being released by York City. Goalkeeper Andy Woods pledged his future to the club by signing a new contract with the club. The club have also confirmed that contact had been made with the FA to formally complain about an illegal approach made by Northampton Town to Darren Stamp.

southport

Both defender Carl Macauley and second-choice goalkeeper Phil Morgan have been allowed to leave Haig Avenue. They follow former Aston Villa and Tranmere defender Shaun Teale, who left recently to take charge of UniBond League club Burscough. Wilson has five further players out of contract.

stevenage borough

Borough forward Kirk Jackson, who had their best attempt on goal in the FA Trophy final against Yeovil on Sunday, believes the run of play would have been very different if he hadn’t been denied by a superb save from Chris Weale. He said, "I don’t like losing, none of us do", "Yeovil are a good side and on the day there wasn’t much between the two teams" "If we’d got an early goal things would have been a lot different".

telford united

The Shropshire Star newspaper reports that Jim Bentley, the Telford United club captain and son of Bucks Head legend Jack, will sign for Morecambe in the next few days. Bentley - a free agent - will sign for the Bucks' Conference rivals after being made what he describes as "a fantastic" offer.

woking

Woking boss Geoff Chapple has released three players and offered new contracts to six others. Eddie Saunders, Jamie Pitman and Dominic Reece have all been released while Steve Perkins, Roscoe D'Sane, Jon Boardman, Stuart Reeks, Phil Ruggles and Stuart Baverstock have all been offered 1 year contracts.

yeovil town

Yeovil Town manager, Gary Johnson, his players, the directors and all the backroom staff at the club were awarded with special Certificates of Recognition by Yeovil Town Council on Monday evening at a Civic reception to honour the club's achievements in winning the F.A.Umbro Trophy. Yeovil Town have signed versatile midfielder/striker Gavin Williams from Nationwide Conference rivals Hereford United.
