  The Season So Far

Gravesend & Northfleet had a fairly good start to the season and when we met back in October they defeated us 4-1. The have slumped to eighteenth place in the league now though and are in danger of relegation. Unfortunately for the Bees Gravesend are much better at home and have obtained thirteen points from their last six games at Stonebridge Road.

Chester beat them 1-0 in their last home game and last Saturday they went up to fellow strugglers Leigh RMI and drew 0-0.

Now on to Barnet. In the last preview I wrote of how I'd seen the Lads on the training pitch and the lack of goalscoring ability. How true that was to come on Saturday when they had twenty-seven shots and failed to score!

We shouldn't have lost that game and the forthcoming match down at Gravesend on Saturday looks a tricky encounter. The Fleet will be out to save their skins and with the Bees going nowhere I think the home side will probably take the spoils.
