Trip to the Museum REMEMBER THOSE days at school when you trooped round a dusty museum looking at dinosaur bones, your lunch in one hand and a clipboard in the other with questions that you'll copy off someone later? Well, the BFCSA are proud to be organising a museum trip with a difference! On Saturday 20 September (2003) - before the Aldershot home game - we start at the British Legion in Moxon Street, High Barnet (the side road next to McDonalds, about 100 yards down on the right). We'll meet at about ten o'clock, quaff a few beers (in my opinion the Guiness at the Legion is the best I've tasted) then make our way up to the History of Barnet FC Exhibition at Barnet Museum at around 11 o'clock. The exhibition takes a good hour or so to appreciate so from there people can make their own way down the hill to watch the game. This is an open-invitation to anybody who wishes to come along. No need to be a BFCSA member, or even a Barnet fan! Aldershot fans who have arrived early would also be welcome to join us. So if you've been meaning to get up to the exhibition, but haven't got round to doing so, then why not make this a date in your diary? It is well worth the visit as there is all sorts of intresting stuff on display. For more information an earlier article about the exhibition can be found here. And we promise - there'll be no clipboards! (although any misbehaving and you'll be back on the coach laddie!) |
