Programme Notes

Northwich Victoria, 01 November 2003

Good afternoon and welcome to the BFCSA page.

LIAM HATCH

It's great to see Liam Hatch in action after his serious injury during the Arsenal friendly ruled him out for the first part of the season. Some of you more eagle-eyed readers may have noticed the BFCSA have sponsored Liam this season and it was a pleasant surprise to see him come back sooner than expected.

This must now give Martin Allen a headache picking the team; everyone seems to be a first choice at the moment. I've noticed a few fans on the clubs website like to 'pick a team for Saturday' and they always look pretty good. Then someone else will say ' not bad, but what about so and so' and you think 'who could you leave out to put him in!!

Hopefully Martin also has this problem, rather him than me!

PLEA FOR MORE FANS

A few programmes ago I wrote about trying to get more fans along to Barnet. Well, the attendances have definitely swelled, (more down to the teams performance than my plea!) and it was good to get some feedback from a fan. Unfortunately I'd forgotten that if you are a season ticket holder in the stand you can't just bring someone along and sit them next to you. My correspondent had this problem when he brought his young nephew to Underhill and it took a while to sort out another ticket for him, then they had to swap seats with someone else.

I thought this was the kind of thing that happened to Arsenal fans, not Barnet, and I suppose it's a good thing that more people are coming to matches.

If you want to bring someone with you I think the best thing to do - if you are a main stand season ticket holder- is to contact the club in advance to sort out extra tickets.
