WELCOME TO MARGATE

Good afternoon and welcome to the BFCSA page.

I'd like to welcome everyone connected with Margate to Underhill today and hope you enjoy your stay. I read in last week's Non-League Paper about Margate's on going ground problems and how Thanet Council now won't back the plans due to a question over funding. As with Barnet they aren't the only ones banging their heads against a brick wall! Good luck for the rest of the season but today is a must win for the Bees.

LAST WEEKS QUIZ EVENING

A big thankyou goes out to everyone involved in organizing the quiz last week. Henry Strevens did a great job in setting the questions with Alex Jones, who was also his usual inimitable self as quizmaster. More thanks goes to Tom Bentley, Janet Matthewson and Mark Ashfield for helping out on the night.

The evening raised £253.00 in total, with the ball signed by the players being auctioned for £60.00.

Hopefully there will be another quiz evening soon, but next time can there be some questions I can answer! I was in a team with my brother's family and I named it Snow Idea.

Well I got that bit right, we came last!

QUIZ TEAM

There are no results to report this week but the 'A team' played against Sheffield Wednesday last Thursday (to late for publishing).

All 'home' fixtures are played at the East Barnet Valley United Services Club in East Barnet Road, New Barnet. Spectators are welcome.

There has been a good take up of places in the Beehive Fund so far, but there are still places available if you want to join. See Henry in the supporters' kiosk or see advert on www.bfcsa.net for full details. The Dagenham programme had a printing error having the second and third prizes the same. The 3rd prize (Blue Experience) should have read:

Snowboarding, Adopt a Dolphin, Horse Riding in Hyde Park, Circus Skills, Vinpolis Wine Experience, Dumper Truck Racing, Ice Climbing, Scuba Diving for Two.
