| Match Preview | |||
| It's David and Goliath if ever
you saw it, Barnet go in to the game as strong favourites
over the Ryman League minnows from Berkshire. That said,
there is no doubt that the players, the fans and the town
of Bracknell will be really fired up for this one. Last season, Barnet capitulated at home to Tiverton Town of the Dr. Martens Premier League which produced one of the most memorable moments on the East Terrace. The Barnet fans on the ET were disgusted with the teams' performance that day but a large percentage still found time to applaud the Tiverton players who were absolutely delighted. We shook hands, we applauded their coaches and that is something synonymous with the FA Cup but even more so with the Non-League. In the league, Barnet brushed aside Leigh RMI with minimal fuss on Saturday and even though there are two divisions between the sides, one would almost be certain that this will be a tougher test of strength and the will to get stuck in when its really needed. The players will not be used to what they will face at Larges Lane, a lot are used to playing in front of 10,000+ crowds. It must've been a large culture shock for them at Leigh, they dealt with it well so hopefully they can do the same at Bracknell. Bracknell will be ready
and waiting for what will be coming towards them, they
will be eager to show what they have got and this is not
going to be easy, irrespective of the gap between us,
don't you worry about that. We cannot afford to be
complacent as many Barnet sides have been before. |

| Bracknell aren't a side of whom I
know a lot about so I figure I'll just talk about how
they ended up with a home tie against ourselves in the FA
Cup Fourth Qualifying Round. Our Ryman First Division South counterparts started way back in the Final Preliminary Round and beat Hastings United 3-1 away from home. Their next two games were at home to Hartley Wintney (3-2) Tilbury (4-2) and then came their mammoth tie with Basingstoke Town. They drew 0-0 at The Camrose over 90 minutes and one goal from Adam Crittenden in the 108th minute separated the two sides over 210 minutes of football. Bracknell boast crowds of around 200 but this will be clearly boosted by the presence of Barnet who have already sold 150 tickets today (Tuesday) to season ticket holders with more going on general sale up to the match. It is strongly advised by both clubs that you pick up your ticket before Saturday. It's very likely that with the sparked interest in Bracknell along with a large following from Barnet that we could see Larges Lane brimming at its 1500 capacity. One thing that is very
interesting is that players of Bracknell regularly post
on the busy supporters forum, which I think is something
that should be emulated by other clubs. Good luck to
them, this has been touted as their biggest game in their
history and that's great for us too! |

| The Bees should be too strong for
their Ryman South counterparts. They'll be up for it no
doubt but I feel that the gulf between Part Time and Full
Time will eventually show. I hope they enjoy it though,
best of luck to them. Bracknell Town 0-5 Barnet, Att::
