| Match Preview | |||
| Barnet go into this match having
beaten Ware 4-1 in the last round in front of 431 fans at
Underhill. That night, it was a Protec side that took the
field and presumably, it will be the same again for this
game. Cheshunt overcame Sawbridgeworth 6-2 in a replayed game after the first was cancelled due to fog. In the league, they still hold top spot, but were pegged back from making further progress by a draw and a defeat against Dunstable and Harlow respectively. The Protec lads will be
in for a tough test with this one but hopefully they can
put up a good performance for the Barnet and Cheshunt
supporters who will be braving the conditions! |

Ground |

| Cheshunt play their trade in
Ryman Division One North and currently head that league
in front of Yeading and Leyton. Unfortunately though,
they will stay on the same level of the Football Pyramid
due to the Conference Restructuring. Their ground, which I have visited for a youth match is small, although quite adequate for Ryman level and has a massive amount of space should they need to expand in future. There are two seated stands on either side of the ground, one housing a nice bar with pool table. Also, they have built a small terrace to the side of this stand (pictured) in memory of player Kurtis Townshend who died in 2002. If they can take their
form into next season, who knows, we could soon be
visiting the Cheshunt Stadium on a regular basis. |

Ware did, it will be a good workout for them. Cheshunt 2-1 Barnet, Att: 281 [Back to Top] |
