Match Preview
Barnet are back on form with a crushing 5-0 defeat over Forest Green Rovers on Saturday and we did it all without Guiliano Grazioli, so that should shut the "one-man teamers" up for a while. Peter Beadle put in an inspired performance, presumably inspired by the wave of support he received after being on the radio last Tuesday night.

It was also good to see that we could beat teams without a few main players, that's no disrespect to the players who were picked, as they did a fantastic job in disposing of a rather weak Forest Green side. I know I've said it so many times, but this is going to be a season to remember.

Scarborough however were beaten 1-0 at Dagenham on Saturday and will be looking to make amends on home soil where they have a rather impressive record this season considering their record. If their away form was better, they'd be right in the mix at the top.

Hopefully, Guiliano Grazioli will be back in contention for the starting XI after picking up a shin injury at Stalybridge last week to add even more firepower to a Barnet side firing on all cylinders at the moment. I was very surprised to see that the coach up is almost fully booked so expect around 100 Barnet fans to travel, a fantastic turnout considering the distance and time and the fact that we only had 86 there last year.

Come on Bees!

Having seen the date that we were due to play Scarborough away when the fixture list was released, I promptly got out of my seat and shouted "NOOOO" as loud as I could! Seriously, a Tuesday night in November, why not the first Saturday of the season when it was 36 degrees eh? Bloody fixture computer!

Scarborough have underachieved this season without a doubt, they could have been potential play off players but find themselves languishing in mid table as we come to the halfway stage in the 2003/2004 season (it's gone so fast hasn't it!) They are currently in 14th place although that is only 6 points off 7th placed Stevenage Borough. In their 19 games so far, 8 have been draws, the highest amount of anyone in the Conference.

The McCain Stadium has been where their form has come from with four wins, four draws and two defeats so going there on a Tuesday night will undoubtedly be tough and a 1-0 win for the Bees will be taken very nicely. Their top scorer is much travelled striker Mark Quayle who has a nice tally of 10, the closest challenger is Chris Senior with 4.

Attendances haven't been all too good so far this season. It forms a similar pattern to Barnet's attendances last season and it makes you wonder if Scarborough had started better this season, would attendances increase like Barnet's have this season. Interesting to note. Their current average is 1,358 but with about 100 Barnet fans expected to travel, the attendance will most probably be a little lower than that.
