Telford are one of just three sides flying the Conference flag in this years' FA Cup Third Round after they overcame Brentford on Saturday. Barnet however lost 5-1 at Yeovil, the less said about that the better. In midweek Telford also take on rivals Shrewsbury (preview written before game took place) and if they were to win that game they'd be in a very bouyant mood for this game.

Barnet have not been in the best form of late and it shows with just three wins in the last eight in all competitions. That said, if you count the distances we have had to travel in that time, it has certainly taken it's toll on the players. Eight games in November, four being away, to Stalybridge, Scarborough, Chester and Accrington.

Barnet are still in a very convenient place in the table, 40 points at the halfway stage is more than satisfactory. A lesser haul of points in the second half of the season would see us comfortably into the playoffs it would seem but there is absolutely no room for complacency.

Telford's inconsistencies have let them down so far this season but do have games in hand over other teams in the league and have an outside chance of achieving a playoff spot. Barnet need a win to get themselves back on track whereas Telford need a win to keep up with the chasing pack. Indeed, it getting very congested in the middle of the table.

It promises to be a very interesting affair.

Three sides of Bucks Head have now been rebuilt, the two ends with arched rooves are terraced and one end is given to away fans should there be enough demand from visiting sides. The new Main Stand was completed in Pre Season and looks a very very impressive structure. Also, in the corner between the Stand and Away Terrace, a Hotel and Banqueting suite has been built offering a superb view of what must be one of the best Conference stadiums. The other side is an open terrace and should Telford hit the Football League this side will be made into a similar stand to the Main Stand.

As expected, crowds have increased drastically, especially at the beginning of the season but as the performances on the pitch have dropped so have attendances, but the average remains at a very healthy 1,774, almost double their attendances over the last few seasons.

Their top scorer is Chris Murphy with a total of 10 and Lee Mills (you know the one who rocked the foundations of the Conference and caused confguide.com to go into a state of mayhem for a week) isn't far behind on 9.

If they beat Shrewsbury, they'll be really up for it so we need to be wary of this threat.
