It's August Bank Holiday and Barnet make the trip to Wales and The Racecourse Ground where they will take on Wrexham.  Everyone remembers this time last year when the Bees recorded a 1-0 reverse at Canvey Island and climbed to the top of the Conference table.  Following that there was no looking back.  This year it's slightly different.  At the time of writing, Barnet already occupy top spot in League 2 and hopefully after a win at home to Grimsby on Saturday will remain there.

The Bees

All being well Barnet will come into the match after claiming 3 points from Grimsby.  This would see them cement their position on top of the table and go into the game against Wrexham full of confidence.

Wrexham

Wrexham have made a poor start to this seasons campaign.  A solitary win in their first game at home to Boston saw them bag 2 goals and not conceding.  However fortunes got worse for the Red Dragons with a draw and 2 losses.  To make things even worse they failed to score in these 3 fixtures.  In midweek they faced Doncaster at home in the League Cup.  Another loss, this time a 1 nil reverse and another match without scoring.  They have brought in Liverpool striker Robbie Foy on Loan to try and change things up front and will be looking to benefit from this.

Wrexham lost to both Notts County and at home to Carlisle and recorded a draw against Northampton.  To put this into context, the Bees beat both Carlisle and Northampton.

The Match

Barnet make the long trip to Wrexham and they have already shown that the long journeys do not effect them.  Carlisle found this out.  The Barnet away support also plays a big part and the players acknowledge this.  Therefore i can only predict one outcome.  With the way that Barnet are continuing to play and the way that Wrexham continue to play then it should be a walkover.  Wrexham will continue their poor form in front of goal and the mighty Barnet will be dangerous going forward so i predict a Bees win to nil.  It won't be easy but this should be a black and amber day.

Weather - Sun behind a cloud yet again

Saturday's predominant weather is forecast to be sunny intervals.

Prediction - Wrexham 0 - 1 Barnet
