  There is also a doubt on the score for this game as we received an email from a Hugh Matthews, supporter since 1959. He says "I was there and my memory and the result written on the programme that I still have says that the score was only 1-0 to the Bees. The BFCSA coach also broke down on the M1 on the way back, but was repaired by the driver pulling up the floorboards to get at the engine. Coach company was Brunts of Hatfield."

  Well, the plot thickens. Mr Percy was able to extract this match report from the following week's progarmme against Tunbridge Wells:
  
  "Hinckley 0 Barnet 2
  
  Last Saturday we returned from Leicester with a 2-0 victory. Jeff Voyce suffering from a poisoned left arm watched Roy Kingsland play in his first Southern League game. Under very sticky conditions the first half was not an exciting one although there were several shots that nearly scored. Hinckley were obviously out to avenge the August defeat (10-1), but Barnet were clearly the better team. Half time came without a goal being scored, but within eight minutes of the restart Don Whyte had scored from a cross from Reg Finch. Don's second goal came after a smart run around the opposing defence."
  
  Well, what with poisoned arms and broken down coaches it certainly seems as though life was exciting in the sixties. Is this the end of it though? John Snow, Website Editor.

Huddersfield Town

• For some reason the two games against them in Division Two were ommited. Thanks to Gerry Currell for spotting this and supplying the details.

Hyde United

• 07/05/89 Neutral, Clubcall Cup Final, Attendance uncertain.
  
  The following email was received about the attendance, from the man who knows your predictions, Reckless.
  
  "I have written down on the programme for the Club Call final game at Telford a figure of 963. I used to write details of scorers and stuff on programmes years ago. I obviously can't confirm this as the official attendance as I was pretty mullered that day but it might be of help.
  On another matter not wanting to be pedantic but isn't Hitchin Town spelt H-I-T-C-H-I-N?"
