Brass
does not speak for everyone
The following letter was
sent by the Supporters Association committee to the
Barnet Times. It was published, albeit edited slightly.
We publish it here in full.
"The Barnet
Football Supporters' Association has refrained from
becoming embroiled in a public exchange with Brass.
We recognise that, as
residents, they have a right to be consulted in respect
of any major development to the Underhill stadium.
The only solution
acceptable to Brass is, "Barnet FC should be allowed
to improve its ground largely within the existing
footprints." What does that mean precisely?
Failure to provide
additional land at Underhill will rob Barnet of a key
asset, its football club. At least the scouts, St John
and Barnet Cricket Club are being offered the option to
move nearby.
David Davis, secretary
Barnet FC Supporters'
Association"
